Dee Dee Jump

April 4, 1945 — June 16, 2021

Fairfax

Daphne Jenean (Tilton) Jump age 76, passed away Wednesday June 16th,  2021, at Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with her loving family by her side. Daphne was born April 4, 1945 to Elbert O Tilton and Mattie (Lloyd) Tilton in Winn Parish Louisiana. Daphne (or Dee Dee as she was lovingly known) was united in marriage to William F. Jump (Sonny) on October 15, 1966 and they made their home in Fairfax, Oklahoma. In the early years of marriage Daphne joined Sonny on the road where they took turns driving their Semi-truck. After they decided to slow down, they worked together raising and breeding dogs and then becoming a licensed beautician. Sonny & Daphne remodeled the front of the house to include her hair shop. She then became a stay-at-home working mom. One of Dee Dee’s greatest joys was her family. She enjoyed cooking and baking amazing meals to spoil her family & many guests. She loved sewing and her fish fries when the boys would bring their many catfish catches home.

She lived for over 50 years in the Fairfax area until Sonny’s death in October 2020. Following his death, she moved in with her granddaughter Andreia and family who provided her with loving care until she went to live at the Hospice house due to declining health.

Dee Dee was preceded in death by her parents Elbert O Tilton and Mattie (Lloyd) Tilton, her loving husband William (Sonny) Felix Jump and grandson Ryan Shane Martin. Those left to cherish her memories are her children Valley Hope Laganiere, Sam Martin, Scott (Kathy) Jump and two stepchildren Jan Willaford and Bill (Kandy) Jump. Granddaughter’s Andreia Bissell and companion Brad Hamman, McKenzie Martin, 11 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and a special great granddaughter, Hailey Bissell.

Daphne is survived by two sisters Pamela (Howard) McClain of Bartlett, Tennessee and Jacquelyn Burchett of Princeton, La. Sisters-in-law Mary Jo Hendrix and Billie Ponca, countless nieces, and nephews.

The family has chosen cremation and she will be laid to rest beside Sonny in the Fairfax City Cemetery. A graveside service will be 11a.m. Saturday, June 26th, 2021, at the cemetery with Pastor Lewis Bernard officiating. A BIG thank you to Fairfax Memorial Hospital and nursing home as well as home health for their loving care while at Andreia’s and the staff at Integris Hospice House for making her comfortable these last few days.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Daphne’s name to American Cancer Society, local nursing home or the charity of your choice.
