Julia Neff was healed and made whole Wednesday evening, April 8, 2020, at the age of 83.  At the time of her passing, Julia Ann affectionately known as “Judy” had resided at the Fairfax Manor Nursing Home in Fairfax, Oklahoma for the past year.

She was the daughter of the late Howard Howell “Sudie” and Jean Leona (Case) Wilson, born on Friday, September 25, 1936, in Oklahoma City, Okla. and welcomed home to Fairfax by big brother John. Julia received her education and diploma from Fairfax Public Schools.

Julia was a proud member of the Osage Nation on her paternal side of the family, her father Howard was an original allottee.  As a young lady, she was an active member of the First Osage Baptist Church in Fairfax.

On Monday, November 10, 1952, she married the love of her life, Joseph Edward Neff in Bartlesville, Okla. Their first home was in the Grayhorse community. The family relocated to Fairfax, and then in the late 1960’s to Skiatook, joining the First Baptist Church there. They shared 55 wonderful years of marriage before Joe’s passing in 2007. Judy returned to Fairfax in April 2019 to be close to her daughter.

Julia was a true homemaker.  She loved her family more than anything and willingly sacrificed everything for them.  She enjoyed sewing, creating wonderful ribbon work and Osage Dolls.  Julia used her talent of sewing to enrich the lives of others, making lap quilts for charities as well as donating them to the local nursing homes for residents.  She was a special lady with a heart of gold. Those who knew her are going to miss her gentle sweet spirit and kind generous nature.
