Zeta Verne Seelig, 25 year resident of Fairfax, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the Fairfax Manor Nursing Home at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 23 days.

Zeta was born January 12, 1921 at Osage, Oklahoma, the oldest of three children born to Andrew Jackson Trisdale and Hazel Irene Brower Trisdale. She received her education in the Drumright Schools. She was married to Ray Jansing Seelig on January 13, 1941 in Drumright with the couple making their first home in Cisne, Illinois. After Mr. Seeligs discharge from the military the couple moved back to Drumright. The couple moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1948 where Zeta was employed as a Drapery Shop Supervisor with Sears. The couple moved to Fairfax in 1985. She was a member of the Fairfax Christian Church.

She is survived by her son, Joe David Seelig and wife, Billie, of Coweta, Oklahoma one brother, L.M. Bud Trisdale of Fairfax three grandchildren, Tim Seelig, Shannon Swartwood and Kelley Harden 4 great grandchildren several nieces and nephews that include her niece, Sherry Hughes of Fairfax, who was her longtime caregiver a sisterinlaw, Amy Seelig of College Station, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents her husband, and one brother, Bill Trisdale.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2010 at the Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Zetas greatnephew, Rev. Russell Hughes, pastor of the Hilltop Country Church in Morrison, Oklahoma will preside, assisted by Rev. Gary Holt, pastor of the Fairfax Christian Church.
