Stanley Smith

March 24, 1944 — September 2, 2014

Stanley Wallace Smith, longtime Ralston area resident, passed Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the OSU Medical Center in Tulsa. He was 70 years of age.

Stan was born March 24, 1944 in Cleveland, Oklahoma, the son of Frank Sylvester Smith and Margaret Pearl Huffman Smith. He was a 1963 graduate of Cleveland High School. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was married to Betty Smith on May 31, 2007 in Webb City, Oklahoma.

Throughout the years Stan was the Fairfax Red Devil and Woodland Cougar time keeper at ball games. He was a member of the Webb City Church of God. His enjoyments included gardening, fishing, cutting firewood, Friday night football games and spending time with his friends at the Ralston Corner Caf.

He is survived by his wife Betty, of the home two daughters, Connie Greenhagen and husband Rodney, of Edmond, Oklahoma and Saundra Lane and husband Keith, of Newkirk, Oklahoma one sister, Agnes Marie Raymer and husband Calvin, of Tyler, Texas four grandchildren, Bailey Lane, Dakotah Lane, Hannah Greenhagen and Skylar Greenhagen other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents three brothers, Danny Smith, Bill Smith and Melvin Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Webb City Church of God with Pastor Matt Smith presiding. Burial will follow in the Ralston Riverside Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the HunsakerWooten Funeral Home of Fairfax.

Honorary casket bearers are Billy Smith, Frank Smith, and all his friends from the Ralston Caf.
