Nancy Keeler

May 30, 1951 — November 18, 2024

On Monday afternoon, November 18, 2024, Nancy Lee Keeler, 73, retired cosmetologist, received her wings and ascended gracefully to her heavenly home. A long time Fairfax, Oklahoma resident, she had lived with her daughter Kay before residing at Van Buren Healthcare & Rehab Center in Arkansas.

Nancy was born May 30, 1951, in Oklahoma City, to proud parents Thomas Fred Dye Sr. and Nancy Elizabeth (Casey) Dye, one of nine children.

She married Forrest “Frosty” Keeler in 1990 at Sand Springs, Okla. and they made their home in Fairfax. Out of this union the family consisted of Nancy’s children Kay and Ricky plus Frosty’s children Lisa, Scott, and Tracy whom she gladly welcomed into her life. They shared 33 wonderful years of marriage before Frosty’s passing on December 19, 2023.

Over a period of 30 years, Nancy worked as a hairstylist in both Okla. and Ark., as an independent operator. She was a Master Cosmetologist Instructor, teaching others how to specialize in beautifying hair, skin, and nails.

In her early days she enjoyed hunting, especially the time outdoors with Frosty during deer season. Among her other interests were playing guitar, beading, and drawing & painting in her spare time.

Her light will continue to shine through her children Kay (Puckett) & Kenneth Smith of Van Buren, AR and Ricky & Cindy Puckett of Fairfax; bonus children Lisa of Tulsa, Scott of Fairfax and Tracy (Keeler) & Charles Ridings of Zionsville, Ind. plus the lucky ones who called her Nana; 12 grandchildren Tony & Kara Smith, Christopher, Tiffany, Tyler, Steven and Emma Puckett; Forrest, Charles, Brett and Paige Ridings and Eddie Keeler; 7 great grandchildren Bella, Macie, Judith, Caedyn, Chole, Oliviah and Kinsley. Additionally, 4 brothers Charles Dye of Roland, Okla., Joe Dye, Ronnie Dye and Ben Dye all from Van Buren, Ark.

Nancy is reunited in peace with her parents Thomas and Nancy; beloved husband Frosty; 3 brothers Thomas Fred Dye Jr., Richard Joe Dye Sr., and Jerry Lee Dye Sr.; one sister Freda Beavers; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The viewing will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, November 22, 2024, at Hunsaker Wooten Funeral Home Chapel in Fairfax. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 23 also at the Chapel with Pastor Lewis Bernard presiding. Burial will follow at Pixley Cemetery where she will rest beside her husband Frosty.
