pMaureen Janet Flanagan Lynn, longtime resident of the Fairfax and Ralston communities, passed Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Fairfax Manor. She was 78 years of age.p

pMaureen was born July 23, 1935 in Nowata, Oklahoma, the daughter of Francis Flanagan and Helena McGrath Flanagan. She was a 1953 graduate of Nowata High School. She then attended Oklahoma AampM for one year prior to attending St. Johnrsquos Nursing School in Tulsa to receive her R.N. degree. She was married to Edward Patrick Lynn on November 30, 1957 in Nowata, Oklahoma. The family moved to Fairfax in 1965. Maureen worked as an Osage County school nurse and later Fairfax Hospital, eventually becoming their Director of Nursing . She retired in 1994.p

pShe was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Fairfax. Her enjoyments were reading, knitting, crocheting, cross stitching, gardening and most importantly, her grandkids and great grandkids.p

pShe is survived by her six children, Janet Lynn Smart and husband, Gary, of Stillwater, Mark Lynn and wife, Jill, of Iola, Kansas, Thomas Lynn and wife, Sharon, of Newalla, Oklahoma, Nancy Fadenrecht and husband, Dutch, of Anthony, Kansas, Doug Lynn and wife, Sandy, of Ralston, and Don Lynn and wife, Wendy, of Duncan, South Carolina sister, Martha Delmas and husband, Paul, of Grand Bay, Alabama sixteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous other extended family and friends.p

pShe was preceded in death by her husband parents grandson, Jered Ewy brothers, Ralph, Don and Basil and sisters, Dorothy, Beatrice, Valera and Zita.p

pRosary will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 14th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fairfax with visitation starting at 5:00 p.m. and following rosary in the church hall. A funeral mass will be recited at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15th. Father Bruce Brosnahan will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in Ralston Riverside Cemetery under the direction of HunsakerWooten Funeral Home of Fairfax.p
