Larry Weaver retired pipe liner and longtime Fairfax, Oklahoma resident passed on Sunday, March 1, 2026 with family by his side at home. He was called to his eternal resting home after a four-year courageous and hard fight battling cancer at the age of 73.
Family and friends and others whose lives were touched by Larry are invited to join in a Celebration of Life at 2p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026 at the VFW Building, 600 West Harrison, across from the cemetery. Cremation is under the care of Hunsaker Wooten Funeral Home. A private burial will be held later where Larry’s cremains will be buried in the Fairfax City Cemetery.
Larry Curtis Weaver was born to loving parents Curtis Floyd and Barthoma Ellen Ratliff Weaver on November 30,1952 in Fairfax’s ‘Ole Hamill Hospital. Growing up with three older sisters he attended all twelve years at Fairfax Public Schools. During his school years, he participated in many activities including football; basketball; weights; annual skits; 4-H club; Science club; and served as Teen Town representative his Freshman year. He graduated as a proud member of the 1971 Red Devil Class.
After graduation he went on to attend Northeastern State University in Tahlequah where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Larry was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. His greatest joy on earth came from his sons and their children, filling his days with laughter and countless moments of pure love.
He married Cindy Bigers and they were blessed with a son, Curtis Ryan Weaver, known as Ryan, in November 1977. He later married Cale Ann Hathaway and to this union his second son Larry Curtis Floyd Weaver, known simply as Curtis was born in August 1992.
Larry leaves behind his youngest son of Stillwater, Larry ‘Curtis’ Floyd Weaver and children Jayce and Ariella; two granddaughters Jayden and Brylyn Weaver and their mom Bambi Weaver; three sisters, Carolyn Watkins, Gail Weaver, Linda (Jeryl) Bevill along with nieces and nephews, Karen Moore, Bill Watkins, Tawnya Langdale, Jay Barnard, Ric Dysart, Carla Dysart, and Wade Bevill. He now rests with his parents Curtis and Barthoma and one son Curtis ‘Ryan’ Weaver (November 2017).
Memorial contributions in Larry’s name may be made to St. Jude Chidren’s Research Hospital, see below.
His family would like to give a huge hug and thank-you to his best friend & ‘Rock ’— his sister Gail, who was faithfully by his side caring for him during the past several months.
