Kara Lynete Yandell Potter Kara Lynete Yandell Potter, resident of Ponca City and former resident of Fairfax, passed Sunday, May 31, 2009 at her home. She was 39. Kara was born December 11, 1969 at Pawnee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Eugene and Madeline Yandell. She was a 1988 graduate of Fairfax High School. She had resided in Ponca City since the early 1990s. Karas hobbies included word search, texting, surfing the web and being with her two beautiful daughters. She is survived by her two daughters, Kylee and Koree Potter of Ponca City; her parents Eugene and Madeline Yandell of Fairfax; her brother, Keith Yandell and wife, Kaylynn, of Fairfax; two nieces, Destinee and Desiree Yandell of Fairfax; several other distant relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her two brothers Kevin and Kyle Yandell, her paternal grandparents, Ovie and Edward Yandell, her maternal grandparents, Berna and Ben McKinney. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2009 at the Fairfax Cemetery with Rev. George Weston presiding. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home of Fairfax. Honorary casket bearers will be Todd Sheffield, Johnny Wilson, Billy Smith, Ricky Wilson, Doug Lynn and Mike Mashburn. The family will be at the home of Madeline and Eugene Yandell in Fairfax.
