Born Juanita Edith Crabtree in Havana Arkansas on June 26, 1927, she was the oldest child of Vernon Ardell and Zula Grace (Hood) Crabtree. She had four siblings, sister Ruby and three brothers Bill, Charles, and Donald. In 1940, the family moved to the Big Bend Area in Osage County where the children began their school days at the first Woodland School located west of Ralston Oklahoma.
On January 26, 1945 she married the love of her life Donald Guy Gilliland in Fairfax, and they made Ralston their home. This union was blessed with two outstanding sons, Ronald and Larry. In 1962 the family moved to Fairfax where after 50 years of marriage Donald passed on October 11, 1995.
An excellent mother and homemaker, Juanita loved the simple pleasurers of life including cooking for her family, cleaning her home, working in the garden, and in her spare time she enjoyed reading God’s word. She was very dedicated to reading and studying her Bible daily. In her later years, she worked outside of the home caring for the elderly in their homes. She was a faithful member of the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church along beside her husband Donald.
The last twenty years she delighted in holding a ladies Bible Study in her home once a week. A few of her lady friends would spend the morning discussing and sharing God’s word. She was a godly lady and had a kind word for those she met along life’s way. Her day was always brighter when it included shopping out of town with her sisters-in-law, Edith and Marylou.
She found love again and married Uriel Kenneth Logsdon on June 26, 1996 in Bartlesville. As retirees, they immensely enjoyed each other’s company and on Sunday mornings attended First Osage Baptist Church. Uriel shared 8 years of marriage before his death on May 5, 2005.
Juanita is survived by her son Larry Gilliland and wife Rhonda of Kirbyville, MO and four grandchildren Lacy, Tyler, Chelsey and Chassidy: her sister-in-law, Marylou Crabtree, and many beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is reunited in paradise with her parents, husbands Donald Gilliland (1995) and Uriel Logsdon (2005); son Ronald Gilliland ( 1969); sister Ruby Nell Crabtree, brothers Billy (2013), Charles (2017), and Donald (2019); and niece Theda Crabtree.
