Ruth Juanelle Morris, 84, went to be with the Lord on November 7, 2010. She was born March 21, 1926 in Blue Mountain, Arkansas to James Isaac and Juanita Rogers and married her childhood sweetheart Farrell Reid Morris in January of 1946. They resided in the Big Bend area west of Ralston and raised five children on the family farm. She also assisted with the family business, Morris DriveIn Market in Fairfax. They later moved to Fairfax in 1972.

Survived by: daughters, Marcie Ellis and husband Ralph, Maramec Jean Waters and husband David, Pawnee Gail Torres and husband Luis, Sapulpa Kathy Widney and husband Larry, Catoosa grandchildren Kelley and Joe Gappa, Oklahoma city Kimberly and Nick Kiker, Moore Mike and Jamie Waters and Aaron and Savannah Waters, Pawnee Mark Torres, Sapulpa Marine Corporal Jeff Torres, U.S. Consulate, Sao Paulo, Brazil Ryan and Jennifer Widney, Catoosa Laura and Scott Mohs, Broken Arrow 15 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends and relatives.

Her parents James Isaac and Juanita Rogers, sister Martha Townsend, brother James Isaac Rogers, husband Farrell Reid Morris, son Farrell Wayne Morris, and granddaughter Kaelyn Skidgel preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Fairfax Assembly of God Church. For over 30 years she served as secretary and pianist under the pastoral leadership of 7 pastors. She treated each pastor and their families as if they were part of her own family and loved them with Gods unconditional love. She was instrumental in helping and later leading the Fairfax Assembly of God church meat pie ministry, which raised enough funds to build the current church and parsonage. She was so happy to be a part of the mortgage burning ceremony. In October 2008 she retired as secretary and church pianist and a retirement reception was held in her honor. A Juanelle Morris Scholarship Fund was created to provide help for those going into ministry. She was honored by the city of Fairfax with a plaque proclaiming Juanelle Morris Day. She also helped assist her soninlaw and daughter in their evangelistic ministry and traveled with them in crusades and mission trips both nationally and internationally. Nano, as she was known to her family, made each of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren feel as if they were the most special one Her family and friends will always remember her special hugs, kisses, encouraging words, cooking, singing and piano playing. She poured her life into serving her God, her family, her church and her community.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 12, 2010 at the Fairfax Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in the Fairfax Cemetery under the direction of the HunsakerWooten Funeral Home of Fairfax.

Casket bearers will be Mike Waters, Aaron Waters, Ryan Widney, Mark Torres, Joe Gappa and Scott Mohs. Honorary casket bearers will be Marine Corporal Jeffrey Torres and Air Force Staff Sergeant Nicholas Kiker.

Memorial donations will be accepted at the Fairfax Assembly of God Church going toward the Juanelle Morris Scholarship fund. The address is 4308 State Hwy 18, Fairfax, Oklahoma 74637.
