Jeffery Gibson

October 15, 1960 — November 30, 2023

Jeffery Dean Gibson, a dedicated truck driver for D & P Tank for 35 years, sadly passed away on November 30, 2023. He was born on October 15, 1960, in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Roy Hurley Gibson, Sr. and Annita (Horn) Gibson. He was brought home to Fairfax where he spent much of his life mostly known as “Jeff.”

A hardworking individual, Jeff found fulfillment in his career as a truck driver. For over three decades, he committed himself to his job with loyalty and professionalism. His dedication to his work was unmatched and served as an inspiration to those around him.

Outside of work, Jeff had a deep love for fishing, finding solace and joy in the peacefulness of nature. He also cherished spending quality time with his extensive Gibson family members. Whether it was gathering for holidays or simply enjoying each other's company, Jeff cherished these moments dearly.

His proudest accomplishment in life was his two wonderful sons – J.W. and Joe. As a loving dad, he raised his children in Fairfax and instilled in them the values of hard work, respect, and kindness.

He will be missed deeply by his sons J.W. (Melissa) Gibson of Skiatook and Joe (Melissa) Gibson of Tulsa. Jeff is also survived by his brother Justin Gibson of Fairfax, his sister Edna Gibson of Fairfax, and his granddaughter Hayden Gibson of Skiatook. Additionally, he leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Jeff were fortunate to witness his warm and genuine personality. He always greeted others with a smile and showed kindness towards everyone he met. His positive spirit brightened the lives of those around him and left a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.

Among those welcoming him home in heaven are his parents Roy Sr. and Annita; two brothers Walter Gibson and Roy (Bud) Gibson Jr., as well as sister Janise Coleman.
