James William McInturf, 28 year resident of the Sunny Slope community, passed Monday, September 13, 2010 at his home. He was 72.

James was born January 25, 1938 at Waltreak, Arkansas, the son of James Claude McInturf and Virginia Roland McInturf. He received his early education in the Arkansas schools, moving with his family to Fletcher, Oklahoma at the age of 14. James was married to Mary McKinney on May 15, 1955 and to this union was born two daughters. He was united in marriage to Janice M. Roberts on February 19, 1971 in Fairfax.

James had been an auto mechanic since the age of 14 and had operated an auto repair shop in Ralston until poor health forced his retirement in 1999. He was member of the Nazarene Church. His enjoyments included fishing, hunting, collecting knives, CB radios and other unusual items.

He is survived by his wife, Janice, of the home two daughters, Jama Dilbeck and husband, Andy, and Darla Sharp and husband, Donald, all of Ralston one half sister, Lillian Black of Pawhuska eight grandchildren, Marcus Kerr, Russell Sharp, Kristin Burch, Sarah Moore, Mike Dilbeck, Robin Dilbeck, Joe Dilbeck and Carrie Seeliger many great and greatgreat grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents his first wife two brothers, Claude McInturf and Don McInturf one young sister, Loraine McInturf one half brother, Albert McInturf and one half sister, Otis Garner.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the Burbank, Oklahoma Cemetery with Rev. Lewis Bernard presiding. Arrangements are under the direction of the HunsakerWooten Funeral Home of Fairfax.

Casket bearers will be Andy Dilbeck, Donald Sharp, Jeremy Burch, Danny Moore, Mike Roberts, Jerry Browning. Honorary casket bearers will be Sam Renfro, Gary Moon, Gary Garrett, Greg Garrett, Russell Sharp and Johnny Browning.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 10060 Buffalo Speedway, Houston, Texas 77054.
