Hazel Hope Bonham Greer, known as Hope, entered the Gates of Heaven on the 2nd day of July in 2025. She was 101 ½ years old.

Hope was the only daughter and 2nd of 4 children born to Era Lawrence Bonham and Emery Eugene Bonham in Beggs, Oklahoma on the 28th day in January of 1924.

Hope was predeceased by her husband of 72 years and the love of her life, Jerry, in March of 2021. She was predeceased by her brothers, Walter, Lawrence, and Gene. Hope is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Janet Greer-Carney and Mark Carney of Concord, NH, Anita Marie Greer and Bill Gatian of Lebanon, OH; grandson, Joshua Carney of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, grandson, Caleb Carney, his wife Jenny and great grandsons, Landon and Logan of Durham, CT; granddaughter, Ruth Koenigsbauer, her husband, Karl and great grandchildren, Oliver and Madison of Bifield Massachusetts; grandson, Zachariah Greer-Carney of Durango, CO; granddaughter, Rebekah Howard, her husband, Jon and great grandchildren, Carter Leigh and Berkely of Wake Forest, NC; and grandson Obadiah Greer-Carney and his wife, Autumn, of Concord, NH..

Hope attended Oklahoma State University where she earned a BS in Home Economics. She enjoyed a successful career as a dietitian. She and Jerry were married in April of 1949 and enjoyed 72 years of marriage. They lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma until 1974 when they moved to Cincinnati. Hope worked for the Sisters of Mount St. Joseph Retirement Center for Nuns until she retired in 1986.

Hope was a woman with tremendous energy who did not know how to sit and relax. She could make those around her feel like they were standing still. She could work all day, prepare a lovely homemade dinner, read a journal, mend a stack of clothing, and do several loads of laundry before sitting down and falling fast asleep.

She and Jerry were active members of Anderson Hills Methodist Church. Hope volunteered running their church kitchen until she was 90 years old.

After Jerry's death in March of 2021, Hope moved in with Anita and Bill in Lebanon, OH where she remained until February. She was living at a memory care home at the time of her passing. At the end of her life, DayCity Hospice provided wonderful loving care.
