Garrett Mitchell Gibson, longtime resident of Ralston, passed Sunday, May 17, 2015 in Oklahoma City. He was 27 years of age.
Garrett was born February 15, 1988 in Pawnee, Oklahoma, the son of Ronnie and Tami (Heath) Gibson. He was a 2006 graduate of Woodland High School and attended Northern Oklahoma College �½ Tonkawa, Oklahoma State University and Northeastern State University.
He was a member of the First Osage Baptist Church. His most enjoyable pastime was spending time with his daughter Skylar. He also enjoyed playing golf, singing and playing his guitar.
Garrett is survived by his daughter Skylar; his parents, Ronnie and Tami Gibson; one brother, Heath Gibson and wife Whitney, of Edmond, Oklahoma; one sister, Savanah Gibson of Ralston; his paternal grandmother Sharon Gibson of Ralston; his maternal grandparents, Doyle and Wanda Heath of Fairfax; two nephews, Cade and Jax Gibson; other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Walter Gibson.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 at the First Osage Baptist Church in Fairfax, with Rev. George Weston presiding. Interment will follow in the Fairfax Cemetery under the direction of the Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home.
Casket bearers are Scott Gibson, Jared Gibson, Justin Grimm, Jake Hutchison, Rowdy Heath and Darren McKinney. Honorary casket bearers are Roan Brazee and Bobby Carroll.
