Edward Patrick Lynn, longtime resident of the Fairfax and Ralston communities, passed Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Fairfax Memorial Hospital. He was 79 years of age.

Edward was born November 27, 1933 in Pawnee, Oklahoma, the son of Jim Lynn and Vera Miller Lynn. He was a 1952 graduate of Sedan, Kansas High School. He then attended Oklahoma AM College for one year and then OSU School of Technical Training in Okmulgee. He was married to Maureen Janet Flanagan on November 30, 1957 in Nowata, Oklahoma. The family moved to the Fairfax community in 1965. Edward had been employed with Phillips Oil Company for 38 years, retiring in 1994 as a mechanic.

He was a member of the Fairfax Sacred Heart Catholic Church. His enjoyments were time spent with his children and grandchildren, farming, his cattle, working with his tractor, and in earlier years, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Maureen, of the home six children, Janet Lynn Smart and husband Gary, of Stillwater, Mark Lynn and wife Jill, of Iola, Kansas, Thomas Lynn and wife Sharon, of Newalla, Oklahoma, Nancy Fadenrecht and husband Dutch, of Anthony, Kansas, Doug Lynn and wife Sandy, of Ralston, and Don Lynn and wife Wendy, of Duncan, South Carolina two sisters, Cha Herard and husband David, of Bartlesville, and Vera Miller of Sedan, Kansas 16 grandchildren 9 great grandchildren numerous other extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents one brother, Joe Lynn and his wife Joy one brotherinlaw, Frank Miller one grandson, Jered Ewy.

A funeral mass will be recited at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fairfax. Father Chris Daigle of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pawhuska will serve as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Ralston Riverside Cemetery under the direction of the HunsakerWooten Funeral Home in Fairfax.

Casket bearers are grandsons, Seth Smart, Chris Lynn, John Lynn, Casey Lynn, Mike Fadenrecht, Matt Fadenrecht, Tim Fosnight and Jeremy Lynn.
