Edna Adeline Foster, longtime resident of Fairfax, passed Friday, January 24, 2014 in Round Rock, Texas. She was 88 years of age.

Edna was born April 10, 1925 in Rock, Kansas, one of thirteen children born to Elijah J. Nichols and Sarah C. Skaggs Nichols. She was a graduate of Winfield, Kansas High School. Edna was married to Billy Burton Foster on August 31, 1946 in Winfield, Kansas. The couple moved to Fairfax, Oklahoma in 1961. They had been married over 60 years at Mr. Fosters passing on July 13, 2007. Edna was employed for several years with Graves Drug in Winfield and Great Bend, Kansas. She moved to Texas in 2008 to be near her daughter.

She was a longtime member of the Fairfax First Christian Church, the Oklahoma Eastern Star, Fairfax and Cleveland Chapters, and the Home Demonstration Club. She loved gardening and cooking.

She is survived by her daughter, Bonita Keathly and husband Bill, of Georgetown, Texas three grandchildren, Tina Adkison and husband Steven, of Vail, Arizona, Eric Keathly and wife Jennifer, and David Keathly, all of Dallas, Texas great grandchildren MacKinsey Adkison and Keegan Adkison one sister, Darlene McClure of Wichita, Kansas numerous nieces and nephews, other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents her husband eight brothers, Powell Nichols, Cecil Nichols, Thomas Nichols, Charlie Nichols, Hayward Nichols, Wayward Nichols, Ralph Nichols and Taylor Nichols three sisters, Mamie Gardner, Edith Cutrell and Pearl McDonald.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2014 at the First Christian Church in Fairfax with former pastor George Weston presiding. Interment will follow in the Fairfax Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the HunsakerWooten Funeral Home in Fairfax.

Casket bearers are Jeryl Bevill, Andy Weston, John Paul Martin, Burley Hathcoat, and Gabe Graham. Honorary casket bearers are Dr. James Graham, George Pease and Tip Asher.
