Dorothy Hutcheson

Dorothy Hutcheson, lifelong resident of Fairfax, passed Thursday, June 25, 2015 at her home. She was 92 years of age.

Dorothy was born September 2, 1922 in Meeker, Oklahoma, the daughter of Guy C. Marley and Effie Mae (Walker) Marley. She was a graduate of Burbank High School. She was married to Roy Hutcheson on September 26, 1943 in the First Baptist Church in Fairfax. The couple had been married 70 years at Roy's passing on March 3, 2014.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fairfax. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids, playing Wahoo with the grandkids, visiting friends and pulling weeds and flowers. In earlier years Dorothy also enjoyed fishing.

She is survived by her two children, Betty Covey and husband Chuck, of Ponca City and Dennis Hutcheson and wife Theresa, of Fairfax; three grandchildren, Terri Hutcheson Gordon and husband Tony, of Ralston, Larry Hutcheson and Brenna Jones of Fairfax, and Debbie Covey and close friend Denny Farren of Ponca City; 7 great grandchildren, Ben, Owen, Shelbi, Tyler, Gunnar, Tiffany and Will; 5 great great grandchildren, Rian, Quinn, Kalon, Brayten and Benji; one sister, Lula Mae Thomason of Lawton; one brother-in-law, Wayne Hutcheson of Sedalia, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews; all her special neighbors that included Jason and Carter; other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Roy; one grandson, Brad Covey; one sister-in-law, Vera Hutcheson.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Fairfax Cemetery officiated by Pastor Russell Hughes of the Hilltop Country Church in Morrison.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home.

Casket bearers are James Early, Jason Rogers, Carter Rogers, Arnold Haney, Carl Daley, Ted Hazelbaker, Denny Farren and Carl Hughes.

The family will be at the home of Dennis and Theresa Hutcheson.
