Curtis Wayne Watts, longtime resident of Fairfax, passed Tuesday, July 23, 2013. He was 69 years of age.

Curtis was born November 27, 1943 in Fairfax, the son of Curtis Watts and Mae Fisher Watts. He was a 1962 graduate of Shidler High School and attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah and Oklahoma State University. He was married to Davy Hazelbaker on August 19, 1966 at the Fairfax Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Curtis served his country in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1968.

Curtis was employed 34 years with Conoco in Ponca City prior to his retirement as a warehouse supervisor in 2002. He was a member of the Fairfax Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He had been very active in earlier years as a coach of youth football, basketball and especially baseball. His enjoyments included his grandchildren, playing golf, fishing and visiting with his many friends.

He is survived by his wife, Davy three sons, Tim Watts and wife Rachael, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Jeff Watts and wife Kasey, of Mounds, Oklahoma, and John Watts and wife Andrea, of Fairfax one sister, Mary Jo Webb of Fairfax seven grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ava, Mason, Anna, Claire, Faith and Aaron numerous other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents one sister, Clara Mae Beartrack and one infant sister.

A Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, July 26th at the Fairfax Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013 also at Sacred Heart Church. Father Bruce Brosnahan will serve as celebrant assisted by Father Chris Daigle. Burial will follow in the Fairfax Cemetery under the direction of the HunsakerWooten Funeral Home.

Casket bearers are Joe Barnard, Eddie Beartrack, Larry Hutcheson, Hank Johnston, Gus Webb, Anthony Webb, Casey Johnson and Scott Johnson.
