pCharles was born September 16, 1934 in Norman, Oklahoma, the son of Charles Fields and Thelma Offut Fields Hansmeyer. He was a graduate of Norman High School and entered the United States Air Force on October 1, 1952. His duty assignments included Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, Tachikawa Air Base, Japan, Bangkok, Thailand, Alaska, and RichardsGebaur Air Force Base, Kansas City, Missouri. Charles retired from the Air Force in 1972 with 20 years of service. After his retirement from the Air Force he was employed as a painter for the City of Norman.p
pHe was married to Ann Fields and to this union was born two sons, Robert and Kenny. He married Lora B. Wilson Fuller on September 13, 1964 in Durant, Oklahoma. The couple moved to Fairfax, Oklahoma in 2007.nbspp
pCharles loved the outdoors, raising, training and selling bird dogs, and raising and selling quail. He also loved to fish and hunt.p
pHe is survived by his son, Kenny Fields of Idaho grandchildren, Candi Moore, Kelley Beebe, Joseph Fields and Curtis Fields several great grandchildren brothersinlaw Lucien Wilson of Perry, Oklahoma and Don Wilson and wife Charlene of Fairfax, Oklahoma uncle Dale Offut and family family friend Bill Gabrisk of Norman, Oklahoma and sisterinlaw Lois Wilson.p
pHe was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Fields and Thelma Fields Hansmeyer wife Lora B. Fields and son, Robert Fields.p
pA graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at the Fairfax Cemetery with ONHL Hospice Chaplain Scott Wintz presiding. Arrangements are under the direction of the HunsakerWooten Funeral Home.p
