Carol Lynnet Carver, age 77, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016, at her home in Fairfax, Oklahoma. Carol is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles; one daughter, Kelly, and her husband, Richard Johnson, of Arkansas City, Kansas; one granddaughter, Charlie Potter, and her husband, Justin Young, of Spokane, Washington; and one grandson, Quinn Johnson, of Arkansas City, Kansas.
Carol was born on January 31, 1939, in Konawa, Oklahoma to L.O. and Pansy (Villines) Denny. She grew up in Konawa, Oklahoma, and graduated from Wolf High School. Carol married Charles Carver on October 14, 1958, in Henryetta, Oklahoma.
Carol worked in a law office in Seminole, Oklahoma, during her younger years and for the Clark County School District during the time she and Charles lived in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 1976, they moved to Fairfax, Oklahoma, where Carol began working for Conoco in Ponca City, Oklahoma. After retiring from Conoco, Carol and Charles spent time traveling and wintered on South Padre Island, Texas, for over twenty years.
Carol loved quilting, sewing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She also loved playing bingo and served as the treasurer for the Isla Blanca Bingo Association on South Padre Island, Texas. A memorial fund has been established with the Isla Blanca Park Activities Association in Carol's honor. The family is being served by Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home and a private service for immediate family members was held at the home in Fairfax.
