Bobbie Drexil

Bobbie Roberts Drexil, longtime resident of Fairfax, passed Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at her home. She was 78 years of age.

Bobbie was born August 18, 1935 in Grove, Oklahoma, the daughter of Richard Enoch Roberts and Delphia Inez Sayla Roberts. She moved with her family from Edmond, Oklahoma to Fairfax at the age of 15. She was a graduate of Fairfax High School and then attended Oklahoma State University.

She was married to Francis Alexander Frisco Drexil on April 9, 1954 in the First Osage Baptist Church in Fairfax. She was a longtime member of the First Osage Baptist Church and Fairfax Study Club. Bobbie was a busy, loving mother who raised four children and three grandchildren in her home. Her enjoyments were her children and grandchildren, her church family, her home, table top decorating, needle point, flower gardening and in earlier years, the trips to Colorado with her husband, Frisco.

She is survived by her three children, Kim Medley and husband Don, of St. Louis, Missouri, Adrienne Drexil and companion Steve Milam, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and John Drexil and wife Faith, of Fairfax grandchildren Alex Wofford, Lewis Wofford, Elizabeth Irons, Megan Medley, Christopher Drexil, Brandon Drexil, Katharine Drexil, Creede Drexil and many other extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents her husband one daughter, Hillary Williams one grandson, Gregory Wofford.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 at the First Osage Baptist Church with Rev. George Weston presiding. Interment will follow in the Fairfax Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the HunsakerWooten Funeral Home in Fairfax.

Casket bearers are John Drexil, Alex Wofford, Lewis Wofford, Don Medley, Steve Milam and Jess Damron.
