Billie Mounts

Billie Ann (Steen) Mounts, age 76 of Pawhuska, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 at her home in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Hunsaker-Wooten Funeral Home.

Billie was born February 15, 1939 in Fairfax, Oklahoma to William and Anna (Foust) Steen. She grew up in Fairfax, Oklahoma and graduated from the Fairfax High School. She later finished her masters in Social Work and Humanity at the University of Oklahoma. She worked several years as a secretary at the Osage Council and later as a counselor. She was married to Alvin Sonny Mounts.

Billie was a past Worthy Matron of the Easter Star in Pawhuska and the First Osage Baptist Church in Fairfax, Oklahoma. She was the Head Woman Dancer for Gray Horse in 1983.

Survivors include her husband Sonny Mounts of Pawhuska and one nephew Steven Elsberry of Fairfax, Oklahoma.
