Mr. Wiehle was born January 8, 1922 on the Isle of Pines, U.S. Territory. His parents were Elizabeth Heilman Wiehle and Paul Wiehle. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II and had achieved the rank of Tech Sergeant. He was married to Jo Celestine Swanson Wiehle on April 12, 1945 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The couple moved to Pryor, Oklahoma in 1962 and to the Big Bend in 1972. The couple was married for 63 years upon Mrs. Wiehles death in September of 2008. Al farmed and ranched in the Big Bend area west of Fairfax. He is survived by two sons, Steve Wiehle and wife, Cindi, Odessa, Texas, and Scott Wiehle and wife, Karen of the Big Bend area. Al was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Jo; one son, David Wiehle and one sister, Florence. Al was of the Catholic faith and his biggest joys in life were his family, the farm, good music, and westerns. He could be heard singing out on the farm frequently, and one of his favorite songs was Dont Sit Under the Apple Tree with Anyone Else but Me. He gave us a wonderful example of how to love family.
