Lorraine Clement, life-long Fairfax, Okla. resident, passed peacefully at the Fairfax Manor late Thursday evening, May 3, 2018. She was 91 years young.

Mary Lorraine Bunch Clement, better known as “Lorraine” was born July 25, 1926 at Fairfax, the only child of George Daniel and Severy Elizabeth (Butts) Bunch. She received her education in the Fairfax Public School system, graduating with the Red Devil class of 1944.

After graduation, on June 14, 1944, Lorraine married the love of her life, Jack Edwin Clement, in Pawhuska. The couple raised their three children in Fairfax where Lorraine remained after Jack’s passing on April 24, 1993.

She was a homemaker, an artist, and enjoyed tracing the family’s genealogy.

Lorraine belonged to the First United Methodist Church, Fairfax Historical Society and was instrumental in establishing the Fairfax Art Association. She spent many tireless hours volunteering with the Historical Society in maintaining the Museum at the old First State Bank building and also volunteered her time at the Fairfax City Library.

Lorraine leaves to treasure her memory, children: Kent Clement of Fairfax, Bob and (Susan) Clement of Noble, Okla., and Connie Clement of Ponca City; grandson, Chris Clement and granddaughter, Sandy Clement, also surviving are 3 great-grandchildren, Brycen, Hayden and Adalyn.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
